You can japa with your iPhone as well! Advance along the beads, say the maha mantra and count where you are in your prayers!

The tutorial mode will also count the beads and rounds instead of you and will help you memorize the mantra.

You will find two counters: "total" that tells you how many mantras you have said, and the "actual" that can be reset.

Krishna consciuosness is not a must for this, I recommend it to everyone! If you just want to play, then youll have fun: just pull the beads, say the mantra and count the beads. But if you are serious then you can use this with your eyes closed, just as with the real thing. Just listen for the sound the beads make!

very nice, but
this app is basically very nice. thanks for development. here are the points, which should be improved: a) make a volume button for improving the japa clicking sound. when i am for instance downtown, i would like to to "overclick" the noise of passing cars etc. b) there should be somthing like a gong at the end of the round. we gaudya vaishnavas are then chanting: "Sri Krishna Caitanya, prabhu Nityananda, Sri Advaita Gadhadhara Srivasadi Gaura Bhakta Vrnda. before starting the round. otherwise one always has to look at the screen, which is not very nice.
I enjoyed alot
The beads slide nicely the animation isnt cheap. Some optional mood music would be nice. I am still learning about mantras and I find ones with audio nice since it also teaches me to say them correctly.
Not counting
I bought this app instead of downloading the free one because I liked the counting feature. It is supposed to keep both an overall count that you cant reset and a count of the particular session of practice that you are doing, which you can reset. Well, if it worked it would be great. However, mine is not keeping an accurate count. For ever 5 or 6 times I slide my finger over the screen, the app may count one. Frustrating. Yeah, it is only .99 cents, but wouldnt it be great if it actually worked?
